Kallen has had a rather eventful couple of weeks. After having a bad cold for more than a week, I realized that she probably had gotten an ear infection. After 3 different trips to the doctor and discovering that her ears are so tiny that the doctors need to use a special tip to look into her ears, she did in fact have a double ear infection. Once she got on the antibiotic, she was our happy baby again. Thanks to her illness, she lost weight. At her official 4-month check up, Kallen weight just 10 pounds, 12 ounces! My girls have each been very little but this was taking it a little far.
Kora has had so much fun on her soccer team this season. Only one more game and she is already done with the spring season. I have already signed her up for the fall again.
Kora also recently had her Spring piano recital. Kora played two pieces and did an amazing job. Her teacher was very impressed!
Katherine's DARE essay was chosen as one of the 3 winning essays out of more than 300 students. She was terrified but did read her essay in front of the crowd of more than 1,000 at her DARE Graduation. The DARE program is a part of the Health curriculum in 6th grade. And yes, Dad did get in trouble for kissing Katherine on stage "in front of everyone!"
