Father's Day 2008

After talking about it for the last couple of years and knowing that Eric was never going to get around to really shopping himself, I went ahead and researched, shopped for, and bought Eric a new car! I was able to do it all without him finding out until he came home from work the Friday before Father's Day and saw it parked in our driveway. The girls were excited (especially Katherine as she had grown rather embarrassed of the old Saturn--we have so loved that car and it will be missed if we ever get rid of it: notice it's still sitting in front of our house). Lucky for me, Eric absolutely loves his Nissan Altima and everyone at the office is so pleased that he finally graduated from the Saturn. I do; however, enjoy reminding him that this new car is entirely in my name so he lets me drive it on weekends when I am running errands.

Katherine's Dancing Days

Katherine had her dance recital recently (actually on Father's Day). She has decided to set aside her dancing shoes for now so that starting Junior High in the fall, she won't feel too busy.

I, naturally, took a moment to remember all these last 8 years worth of costumes. Which is your favorite?

Katherine's New Look

As you may have noticed in the Memorial Day photos, Katherine now officially needs to wear glasses. She held out a couple years longer than Mom though that doesn't make her any less put out. She's already asking when she can get Lasik surgery!!

Memorial Weekend Whirlwind Trip...one month late

The girls were excited to see all their cousins on our quick trip to Idaho.  We had a crazy couple of days but made it to Idaho and back again with little incident.  The girls did get to see everyone of their cousins and Kora begged not to leave Idaho.  She and cousins Hayden and Corbin were inseparable the whole weekend. (Be sure to click on the photo to see the entire photo book I put together!)
